Writer. Mom. Feminist.
Ass-Kicker. Humble ;-D
You could have a published book in 9 months.
If you’re worried about whether your idea is good enough, that’s totally normal. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve thought about it, how much experience you have, or how successful you are.
Writing a book is a big deal.
I’m Maggie Frank-Hsu, a ghostwriter and editor who works with subject-matter experts who want to use their one-of-a-kind story to go from invisible to known expert.
I’ve spent my career helping my employers and my clients seize the attention of their audiences and move them to action via the written word.
But maybe what you really want to know is.... can she write?
I’ve always been a writer, and when I graduated from college I knew I wanted to pursue a career in writing. I received my Master’s degree from Columbia School of Journalism in New York and worked for national magazines like Gourmet, Martha Stewart and ESPN the Magazine.
Then I spent the next 10 years building online audiences that grew to over a million visitors a month.
I published my first book, Be About Something, to share the unique way I combine the literary and marketing aspects of my expertise to help non-professional writers publish books that help them become known as “the person who wrote the book on that.”
If you want to read my work, you can get Be About Something here.
Besides writing, what else am I obsessed with?
My kids.
My insanely cantankerous dog.
My insanely generous husband.
The weather in San Diego, where I’ve lived with my kids, my dog, and my husband since 2014.
Also, nail art. (You’ll almost never find me without a fresh manicure, and fun fact! I own at least 20 shades of polish.)
And as course, as an avid writer, I am also an avid reader. You can always find what I’m reading on Goodreads.
